How We Help Families
IEP Meeting Support & Advocacy
Before the meeting, we review your child's evaluations, draft questions, and help you understand what to expect. We can attend alongside you as your advocate. After the meeting, we review the IEP document to ensure it accurately reflects what was agreed upon and truly meets your child's needs.
Independent Psychoeducational Evaluations
If you have concerns about your child's learning, attention, or behavior, an independent evaluation provides an unbiased picture of their strengths and needs — separate from the district's assessment. We provide comprehensive evaluations and explain every result in plain language you can understand and act on.
Parent Training & Coaching
Knowledge is your greatest tool as an advocate. We offer one-on-one coaching and small group workshops to help parents understand IDEA, their rights, the evaluation process, and how to read and respond to IEP documents with confidence.
Consultation & Guidance
Sometimes you just need someone knowledgeable to talk things through with. We offer hourly consultations for families who have questions about evaluations, eligibility decisions, placement, services, or their child's progress — no matter where you are in the process.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need an advocate at my child's IEP meeting?
Not always — but having someone experienced on your side can make a significant difference, especially if you're navigating a disagreement with the district, reviewing a new evaluation, or entering a meeting feeling uncertain about the proposed program.
What's the difference between a district evaluation and an independent evaluation?
A district evaluation is conducted by the school's team. An independent educational evaluation (IEE) is conducted by an outside professional — which provides an unbiased second opinion. Parents have the right to request an IEE at district expense under IDEA.
Do you work with families outside New Jersey?
Yes. Many of our family services are offered remotely, making them accessible to families in any state. In-person services are currently available in New Jersey.
How much does it cost?
Services are priced based on the type and scope of support needed. We discuss fees transparently during your free intro call so there are no surprises.
